Guardians of the Flame

Each of us has our own ways and activities that quiet the mind and calm the heart. For me, it’s the process of painting, it is like a prayer without words. In this prayer, feedback comes through an image. That Supreme One always likes to hide and most likely under your nose. So in painting (and in life), I am always solving a riddle – about this silent conversation between the two of us in the canvas.

Here is “Guardians of the Hearth”, this is already the second painting from the upcoming cycle, which we are doing together with the clients and my friends Lina and her son Domas. The three of us start the work with expressive brushstrokes that express the inner state, they form a code that I take to the studio to decode and complete the painting. It is like united prayer of three people, unspoken, silent, but creating a space for the viewer.

In this way of co-creation, by focusing our thoughts and intentions, we silently create the world around us. May it be full of peace and love for nature, may it be our home.
