Inner Woman

I did this piece while I was divorcing my wife. Although the process itself was not easy, this picture made me feel complete, in it I met my inner woman.

Often in a relationship we are looking for support in another, who would fill in our own inner holes. Probably because we think we are only a half of something. But it is interesting that inside all of us lives a man and a woman (doesn’t matter you’re a man or a woman). And sometimes one of them is being withdrawn aside or feels forgotten, but when they join hands inside, the even walking alongside each other begins. It is about perception of oneself as a sensitive, compassionate human being, who can take care of oneself and others, while walking towards the peak or valleys. Then you become self sufficient, and you feel a content being in your own company.

It is interesting that the decision to walk apart in a family hasn’t taken away any part, but allowed to feel connected and complete.

I always paint about what I feel inside. Although it is natural that while making such a decision doubts come in, the birth of this painting strengthened the wishing well to myself and to another. There is faith that we are going to the right path.
